The 5 Beauty Brands That Are Killing It With Their Socials

Hand-picked are 5 beauty brands that I have noticed that are nailing their socials with brand purpose, consistency and creativity. This beauty brand round-up covers from indie to well-known beauty brands.

There are always new beauty brands popping up, for the average consumer it can be overwhelming and confusing in what beauty brand to purchase with their hard earned cash.

1. Go-ToSkincare

Starting and investing in a skincare regime is a complicated thing. I don’t know about you, whenever I want to try a new brand there is never a sample to try or not enough information to read through before you make that final purchase. Looking through @gotoskincare social feed has got me hooked and want to know more.

Reasons why this brand are killing it on their socials:

  • Each Instagram post relates to their unique selling proposition marketing speak for their competitive advantage.
  • Not only is their feed on brand but their Instagram Story is on a whole another level.
  • They know their customer and pain point, it can be a drag to have a skin care regime.
  • The core brand messaging is uncomplicated, effective, cruelty (and bullshit-free) skincare.

2. Then I Met You

When it comes to skincare, the Koreans know a thing or two about this. I love the brand story of @thenimet you. The story behind the phrase, Then I Met You conveys a turning point in someone’s life, the brand’s name is rooted in the Korean concept of “jeong”, a deep connection formed to people, places and things.

Some of the reasons why I think this brand are killing it on their socials:

  • The Founder @charlottejcho invested in the branding and brand identity in this product. Love it when people know the value in investing in your brand.
  • The periwinkle blue stands out not only on Instagram but on one’s shelf
  • The brand essence of “jeong” is cleverly conveyed in each post.
  • The brand is not only about selling the products but building meaningful connections. Talk about a unique selling point for a skincare brand!

3. Courtney and The Babes

I love how this Australian Indie Beauty Brand is owned by a mama business owner, is honest to share her business journey and the C+B products is all about making others feel good and taking care of yourself.

Some of the reasons why I think this brand is killing it on their socials:

  • Consistent blush colour palette
  • Dreamy product images to the point you want to run out and buy the products
  • The creator of the owner responds to comments and DMs.

4. Flesh Beauty

Some of the reasons why I think this brand are killing it on their socials:

  • Brand purpose is explained succinctly in the bio. No ambiguity.
  • Their flat lays are on another level. Very creative and goes back to their brand purpose – Sensuous. Inviting. Uncomplicated.
  • I love how they include product swatches on the model.
  • Use of emojis in their comms – 👋🏿  👋🏾  👋🏽  👋🏼  👋🏻

5. Summer Fridays

I have been following @mariannahewitt, for some time and is one of the founders of @summerfridays.

I use to binge watch her YouTube videos. It’s a shame I didn’t get to meet her while she was in Australia. Maybe next time. This is not a sponsored post, I highly recommend the Jet Lag Mask. I work from home and even though I don’t see anyone, I will not skip my skincare routine. I use this mask, especially on my dark circles.

Some of the reasons why I think this brand is killing it on their socials:

  • The brand used Instagram effectively to build hype prior to launching the product. It’s definitely not a hype product.
  • Using a diverse range of beauty influencers to subtly promote the product.
